League 1 favourites Leeds have been drawn to face neighbours Bradford in the first-round draw of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
Gary McAllister's Whites will take on Stuart McCall's Bantams in arguably the tie of the round, with the former Scottish international teammates battling it out for a place in the second round.
Both managers are no strangers to playing on Wembley’s hallowed having represented their country and clubs in major tournaments. Both McCall and McAllister will savour the white-hot atmosphere of the ‘derby’ and will see this as an excellent opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the MK Dons.
It will be the first time that the two clubs have met since Bradford were beaten 6-1 at Elland Road in May 2001. Bradford FC has to look back to 1943 for their last competitive win at the West Yorkshire ground.
The tie will take place at Elland Road on Tuesday September 2nd 2008 (7.45pm).
