Johnstone’s Paints have received fan-tastic feedback from League One and Two followers in a recent supporter’s survey.
The Football League Supporters Survey 2008 received 40,316 views from die-hard fans about the clubs they follow, the matches they attend, which brands/names they associate with The Football League and the impact of sponsorship on their football team.
Results showed that Johnstone’s Paints enjoyed far greater awareness amongst the fans from the clubs, who play in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy competition, by ranking second in the table of most recognised official partners. With Johnstone’s paints being polled ahead of Carling and EON and only being outdone by the headline sponsor, Coca Cola.
The survey also sought after the answer to ‘Does the sponsorship make you more likely to buy a product or service?’ The answer was a resounding ‘yes!’ with 36% of supporters saying that a brand’s association with their club would actually make them more likely to buy products or services over and above other companies operating in the same field.
Johnstone’s Paint Trophy sponsorship manager Teresa Hardwick said: “What great news to receive just as we are embarking on a new season.
“This strong response demonstrates the untiring loyalty that supporters show to their clubs. We are grateful to every League 1 and 2 supporter that took part in the survey and we will endeavour to make their 2008/09 season even better.”
Johnstone’s. Bringing colour to the beautiful game.
