Speaking of his excitement, Daniel of Scunthorpe, said he couldn’t believe his luck when his Dad told him about the phone call. He said: “When my Dad told me I had won I couldn’t stop running around, I’m so excited.”
Adam is just as eager to get down to Wembley for the big day. He said: “I can’t wait to get my Scunthorpe kit for the final now – I will be proud to wear it!”
In preparation for the big penalty shoot-out, Daniel and Adam will meet with the club mascot, Scunny Bunny, on Tuesday March 31 at the Johnstone’s Decorating Centre at Glebe Road Trade Centre, Glebe Road, at 4pm.
Gina Laycock, Decorating Centre Marketing Manager for Johnstone's, said: “The uptake for this competition was overwhelming, it has been fantastic. I hope that Daniel and Adam enjoy their day at Wembley and they show everyone what they are made of.”
The proud winners will receive football goodie bags including four tickets to the Final, a personalised Scunthorpe United football kit, a club football and a commemorative trophy.
Fans that come along to the Johnstone’s Decorating Centre on the afternoon of Tuesday March 31 can also have their photo taken alongside the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.
